What we collect

Debrief collects app activity data — which applications you use, for how long, and the document or project names visible in window titles. This data is stored locally on your Mac.

When you use the AI summary feature, activity data is sent to our servers to generate the annotation. It is not stored after the summary is returned.

What we do not collect

We do not read the content of your documents, emails, or messages. We do not collect keystrokes. We do not sell data to third parties.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how people use the product. This includes page views and in-app events. It does not include activity log content.
